Judicial candidates

[Campaign button for Steve Myers]

Steve Myers for Civil Court Judge

We designed Steve's direct mail and some collateral. His campaign button is shown at the left. Good guy; didn't win.

Consultant: Bobby Berlin
Writer: Frank Baraff

[Brochure for Eugene Prosnitz]

[Joel Serebin brochure]

Joel Serebin for Civil Court Judge

Frank Baraff wrote some great copy about candidate Joel Serebin. Then Doug Gordun and I made the words dance right off the page and into the voters' minds.

Consultants: Frank Baraff and Doug Gordun

Assembly candidates

[Kathryn Freed lit]

Kathryn Freed for Assembly

We always loved this one! Kathryn looks great, with her hair blowing in the wind. The strong, colorful background really stands out. Wish the campaign would have made a poster out of this.

Consultant: Bobby Berlin
Writer: Ernie Lendler

[Brian Murtaugh brochure]

Brian Murtaugh for State Assembly

This was Brian's last winning race. We did a big piece (it unfolds to 25-1/2" x 11") in two colors, printed on glossy stock. There's a special screen effect on the cover to make Brian look "tougher." And, because we were running in a district that had become largely Hispanic, the piece was entirely bilingual.

Campaign manager: Tom Tedeschi

Jerry Nadler for Assembly

We did most of the literature for Jerry's many successful Assembly races. Here's a button from one of the early campaigns.

Campaign manager: Neil Goldstein

Yoswein negative

Jim Brennan for Assembly

We wrote this powerful negative piece for Jim Brennan. Ernie Lendler called it "savage." We agree. (PS: We actually like Joni.)

Thanks to: Lori Knipel

Other

Anti-Koch leaflets

The famous pieces that got Mayor Ed Koch so mad that he devoted an entire press conference to denouncing them! We wrote 'em and designed 'em. The Daily News reprinted one of them, and television channels 2 and 9 covered the story. There was a third piece in the series which we'll post as soon as we can find a copy.

Client: New Democratic Coalition
Larry Moss, Chair

Year: 1989

[Journal cover for the Brooklyn Democrats]

Brooklyn Democrats Annual Dinner

We designed the invitations, envelopes, journal cover (shown at left) and ceremonial award. Our classy design work helped make the dinner a big success!

With thanks to: Jeff Feldman

[Noach Dear brochure]

What if you needed an amulance?

Councilmember Noach Dear

We've been doing mail for Noach since his first race. Sometimes we write and design the pieces, sometime we just do the design. So far, he's been very successful!
